So over the past couple of weeks I have become obsessed with bikram yoga and planing a trip to Europe.I know its kind of random but I can't help it.... they are my new favorite things.
YOGA
Bikram is a form of yoga that consists of 26 poses and 2 breathing exercises. A class is 90 minutes long and the room is heated to 105 degrees and usually about 40% humidity! It is sooo freaking hot in there that there are times when I want to just run for the door, but I love it!
I tried my first class a couple of weeks ago and I truly thought I was going to die! I had to sit down a couple of times because I seriously thought that I was going to pass out, and as crazy as it sounds, after the class was over I felt SO good.
There is something about intense concentration, focusing all my energy on bettering myself, and just sweating my brains out that makes me feel like I can do anything. I have done it a couple of times a week since then it is the only type of exercise that has ever made me feel this good. It is amazing!
It is pretty fast paced and the combo of the poses and the heat really gets your heart pumping. And even though sweating like a pig is super gross, it rids your body of toxins and has done wonders for my skin. I love love love Bikram!
Europe, please!
I NEED TO GO! This is not a want, it is a need.
Over the last couple of weeks this desire to backpack through Europe has gotten somewhat out of control. Sooo in order to keep myself from just spending all of our savings and just jumping on a plane right NOW, I have been doing some extensive research and promising myself that we will go as soon as I graduate. If all goes as planned I will graduate from the U in the spring of 2012, which makes that summer a perfect time to go! If anyone has ever backpacked through Europe before and has good suggestions I am all ears, and would really appreciate any info! As of right now we are saving our pennies and hoping we can figure out a way to pull this off! ;)
Europe here we come... in 2012!!!
